Pump vs Leaded 116 race gas on a Z06
My HP gain in my turbocharged car is very noticeable when you run it on Leaded 116 race gas. While lead will eventually mess up your oxygen sensor, the car runs much cooler EGT's (150 F lower) and I can run 4PSI more boost, while water temp is lower too. I wonder if z06 likes race gas as well?

Oh yea. :yesnod:
I put 2.5 gallons of 109 unleaded in with every tank. Main reason is the heat and inferior west coast 92 Octane. With the 109 no detonation over 4000rpm at WOT. Wouldn't ever put leaded in though.

My car does "seem" to run better on 94 sunoco than lower octane. I tryed some 103 race unleaded and diden't notice any improvement. Leaded 116 does help if your useing alott of nitrous or high boost but it will mess up the cats and o2's preaty quick though. Ric
