2001 Z06 pup cat and H Pipe replacement?
I have a 2001 Z06 with stock ti exhaust and stock exhaust manifolds, had headers and straight pipes before, and replaced cats with high flow cats.
Everything is back to stock except the high flow cats. I would like to eliminate the pup cats and add new cats. Everywhere I looked I find only complete exhaust solutions or H pipe only behind the secondary cats.
I would like the same setup as in the 02-04 Z's. Do I need to order the factory H-pipe and aftermarket cats to make this work? How do I bolt the pipes to the exhaust manifolds where the pups were located? I know this might be simple for most, I am in Germany and do not have the resources to go to my local midas and just get pipes made. My gut feeling is to order a factory 02-04 h pipe. What is the part number and price for that piece of exhaust anyway? Thanks in advance

Will this make a difference? I have a 2001 Z as well. What is the part number how much does it cost and what difference will it make as far as performance gain and sound?

Find someone with a used 02-04 Z06 OEM h-pipe for sale. I had one on my 01 Z06....made a little bit more power, and sounded louder and raspier. Only problem was it did not pass smog here in California, and I would get a check engine light sometimes. Best to get a tune if you do get this H-pipe for smog purposes.
