Both sizes fit without rubbing, but I would think the 255s would increase the C5's tendency to understeer.

Is anyone running the 255? The Goodyear GS-D3 275/40/17 is sold out everywhere.

Do you think that the 255 will make that much of a difference?

I have 275s on the front of my car and I really don't like the way it looks, although I'm sure it may handle better. I'm looking to go back down to the stock 265 size.

I just put 285s on stock rims on the front and so far they track great on the freeway and look good also.

275's for me. GY GS-D3s and they stick out just a bit on stock z wheels.

I've got 275/40s too. They work good, but it's a noticeably bigger sidewall than the rears if you run the stock rear size. I don't mind it, but if that sort of thing bothers you, it does look a bit odd, and it will bother you.
