There's lucky and there's lucky
Well I just bought the 2001 Z06 3 weeks ago and some of you warned me about the steering lock problem with those cars. I was planning on getting it in the near future.
Anyway, I drop the car off at the dealer for an oil change and the tech is about to bring it into the garage and it locks......
The dealer said they were quite aware of the problem and will fix it. they did say that in the US they fix it with a physical change. In Canada, it's fixed by programming. Because it's a US car (now living in Canada) they will use the physical parts......like what you guys told me about in another thread....
Anyway, it will not cost me anything to get it done.....now that's lucky.
