I know, Another F.a.s.t 90/90 thread!
Alright guys, i have a cam-only 02Z. My question to you are whos running the fast 90/90. What are some hp gains with different combos, Z's or c5s, best pricing, are we using the LS2 throttle body, lg g2, fast 90, is it worth the money. Do I get the intake and throttle body ported when i get it? Whats the difference between the Fast and ls2 throttle body. Other then price..lol.. Can the intake be painted? I know, lots of questions, but if you can answer any, that would be great. You can check my sig for my small mod list and tell me your thoughts. Thanks alot
www.texas-speed.com Fast 90 intake with LS2 throttle body - $1099.99 sounded pretty good

I was going through this same process and finally pulled the trigger. I just got my parts back this week and haven't installed yet. I chose to port a FAST 90 intake with a fully ported LS2 TB. Both ported by Cory Harris at LS2 Portworks (supporting vendor.)
I based my decision on reading posts by Tony Mamo, one of the most notable tuners for LS engines, and upon the advice of Tommy Wong, the most notable vette tuner in the Pacific Northwest.
I finally made my decision after being convinced that there would be little to no downside. The under the curve power will be improved with good gains at peak and past peak.
But most of all I think it gives me something else to tinker with

The intake can be painted. I would go with a fast 90/90 and have both ported. I would try and find a small time guy like Tony M. (sorry Tony) and have them do it so you can save some bucks and take the time to tune it yourself..
I agree with ctusser.

So are you saying going with the fast 90tb over the LS2? And wheres tny M located? Tuning shouldnt be an issue. I got it tuned pretty good since last time we met.

The Ls2 TB is easier to tune. The Nick Williams is harder to tune but has slightly better Throttle response IMO. It will defintetly take some tweaking to get it right. The tuning forums are an invaluable resource for this kind of thing. You have all winter to play with it and that makes it fun.

I have a ported FAST 90 w/ a ported LS2 TB. I am not sure on the gains because I did the same time as the cam. I figured it couldnt hurt, and it would really shine once I put heads on.

Do you have a similar cam, because that is an incredible gain and im really excited now!!!! i was expecting maybe 10-15 RWHP, but 30, WOW. I figured that with my mosterous cam, a 90/90 would do excellent.

Tony Mamo ported FAST 90 Intake here. NW Ported 90 TB. No problems. I would call Topny Mamo from AFR.
Best there is in my opinion. Plus, he matched the porting to my milled AFR 205 Heaeds.

I gained 25 RWHP with my Mamofied 90/90 intake set up. My car has LPE ported heads & their 228/242/.630/.630/114 camshaft. I painted the intake with Krylon spray paint.

I'm curious if these gains are on top of a stock LS6 manifold and throttle body or if they were ported
Just curious b/c my current LS6 manifold & TB are ported and matched and I'm switching to ported and matched FAST/LS2 combo.

The LS6 and LS2 tb have the same od, so whatever intake you run now will work fine.
