Definately PS2's...probably the best all around tire you can get for daily driving and track performance.
Initially developed for Original Equipment (O.E.) on some of the world's most prestigious sports cars and performance sedans, the Pilot Sport PS2 combines world-class dry road traction, handling and cornering. Some of the first Pilot Sport PS2 O.E. fitments included the BMW Alpina Z8, McLaren SLR and Porsche GT2 & GT3 models. The Pilot Sport PS2 is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice

Definitely get the PS2s. As with any summer tire, they will be hard below 45 degrees or so and not warm up very quickly (not at all if it's too cold). Just take it easy and you'll be fine. I've driven my Z in rain and also as little as 18 degree weather with no problems.
Also, according to TireRack, they are cheaper (for a full set) than the stock tires.
F1 Supercar - $1294 for a full set
Pilot Sport PS2 - $1234 for a full set
If you're concerned, you will probably get 2 sets of rears (or more depending on how you drive ) to one set of fronts, and a set of rear PS2s only cost $50 more than a set of rear F1 Supercar tires.

Another vote for the PS2's, I replaced my last set of GY F1SCs about a 15 mos ago and I cannot tell you how much better the PS2s are for all-around daily driving. It's better dry, wet, and cold (keep in mind this is Houston, TX cold I am referring to...). Tread life thusfar appears they will easily outlast the F1SCs. Also, they are quieter.
I would highly recommend the PS2s.

Also, from my experience, the PS2 will keep a lot of grip right down to the wear bars. When I test drive my Z, the Supercars were at the wear bars and traction loss was easy. I've driven various Porsches with the PS2 tires at and near the wear bars, and traction was never an issue. Of course, the cars are rear weight biased.
I guess I'll find out if it works that way on a Z when I get close in the back. At ~1500 miles on the PS2s right now, and I got the car in late September 2007.

Sorry if this seems redundant to the unknowing, but another vote for PS2's. The Supercars were downright scary a couple of times in heavy rain, the Michelins do just about everything better. The PS2's are also quieter if you drive your car alot.

The only source that claims Supercars are good in the rain is Goodyear ("dry traction=10, wet traction=8")! Between the two get the Michelin's...

The test data that i have found, gives the nod to Goodyear.

I know these were the F1 aysemetric not the supercars, but the supercars are supposed to be better than the F1 aysemetric's. Most everyone always talk bad about the Goodyears. But they seem to have the best lap and salom times.
I have been waiting for Goodyear to produce some tires, I need a set badly. And have heard good things on the forum about the PS2s but, the tests i have found say the goodyears are better..................
My experience has been that the Goodyears take about 3 or 4 laps to get up to temperature, but once they are warm, they grip very well.
I think alot of people drive the goodyears when it is cold, and they do spin easily when cold, and say the goodyears are crap, no grip. But comparing dry lap times from the tire rack 2007 tests, the goodyears are slightly faster?????????
I guess I am in the minority, because I think the goodyears are a great tire.
JMO, thanks

Safety Car
This is what I thought. For street tires, if dry is my only consideration, and short of going to R-compound tires (ie drag radials), isn't the Supercar the best even now?
