Re: 0-150 time for Z06 (Garceeya)
Car and driver rates the 01 Z to 150 in 27.6 seconds. It takes a lot of time to make up MPH in the upper speeds.
0-60 4.5
0-100 10.4
0-150 27.6.
This is from the Nov 13, 2001 Car and Driver 2001 Ultimate Comparisons issue.

Another mag has the '02 Z06 achieving the following times.
0-60 4.0
1-100 9.2
1-150 22
Now what's in store for the '03 model year? Can't wait!

Re: 0-150 time for Z06 (Smash)
C&D's figures for 0-150:
01 Z06 (385 hp).........27.6
'02 Z06 (405 hp)........24.1
Maranello (485 hp).....23.5
Modena (395 hp).......29.6
911TT (415 hp).........21.6
Acceleration well into the triple didgits is a brutal battle against aerodynamic drag. The power required to overcome drag is proportional to the cube of velocity (v^3), so it takes 3.375 times as much power to hit 150 mph as it takes to achieve 100mph! This is why, even small increments of speed past 100 mph require large time intervals. The '02 Z06 hits 100 mph in an incredible 9.2 seconds, but takes an additional 14.9 seconds to add just 50 mph!
On a side note, if the M12 tranny had a 4th gear ratio around 1.12:1, it would improve its 100-150 times appreciably. Regardless, we're in pretty rarefied company! :)

Re: 0-150 time for Z06 (raj)
Who said it's slow? That's MUCH faster than the 375hp ZR-1, it clocks in at 34 seconds to 150. HMMM.
I would have figured it would be within 1-1.5 seconds. since the Zr1 supposedly has this insane top end. Hmn. I guess not.

ZR1, insane top end............185mph
The difference in 0-150 times is almost enough to make me
look for a z06 later instead of a zr1 now. Almost. :p:

You probably had a vacum leak, or ECU problem, as my '91 ZR1 ran 13.6 in the quarter until I fixed the leaks and changed chips. Then I ran 13.0 on my first try after! I also raced cars that were beating me, and now they were losing. Just ask SNK SKNR.

Aero Drag, all that downforce comes at a high cost in drag.......and there are 3 levels of downforce you can buy, so there are 3 different times for 2015 Z06's depending on which aero package it has installed....
