Dynamat in Z06
I know the Z saves weight in one way by using less sound insulation than the standard Vettes. While not expecting or requiring the inside to be quiet, the inside does remind me a bit of an echo chamber. I was very pleased with the Dynamat Xtreme I used throughout the entire cabin of my L88 (~57 sq ft). Having about 15 sq ft left over, I used it in the back storage area and a bit over the wheel arches.
It didn't make the car quiet, but it did take a lot of reverberation out of the cabin. I have now discovered that the stereo is actually pretty good! For about 5 pounds of added weight, it was well worth the penalty.
