It doesn't seem to rub.The old, stock duct was thicker and did barely touch the liner.

I put some foil on top of the new duct and closed the hood.I saw no imprint, but as you know,it's a real tight fit for anything.

To avoid a possible rub,I pulled it down as far as I could, toward the VR intake inlet. There is maybe a 1/16in gap between the duct & the rad shroud.

I really like it.

Not happy with mine. The maf would not fit. Had to file it down a bit. Should not have to do that with a brand new part. Finally got the maf in and it is so tight I don't think it will ever come out without breaking either the power duct or the maf itself. I like the idea of the part but not the quality I have seen.

Yep,all the parts fit really tight, that's why I used a little vaseline to help with the slide.

Certainly no air leaks! I really like mine.

I'm gonna assume that since the MAF is moved then you need to check the tune to see if it threw off the MAF transfer function?

I tried to get it to slip in with lubricants, but had to file down. I like the part, but I don't like the idea of having to file it down to fit.

For those having problems getting the MAF seated, try heating the air bridge with a hair dryer. Learned this today when I installed this system on my son's 1999 FRC (directions were included). Worked like a charm. Will have to go back and redo the install on my car as I couldn't get the MAF fully seated.

I installed mine but was disappointed in the fit. I had to heat up the opening of the duct with a propane torch to get my Z06 MAF in it. Also, both openings of the duct were oval shaped. I really think VaraRam could have spend a little bit extra time with the fine tuning. Once I got the MAF and couplers installed, it fit well in the car.

My VaraRam duct replaced a carbon fiber duct. In my case, I didn't feel any difference. I'm not sure if there is a SOTP difference between the stock and VaraRam duct.
