Default cam & Header install (pics)

2001 ZO6

LG G5X3 112
LG Pros

tear down intake off

raidator out

exhaust off

gettin springs and rockers on

cam time

my buddy johnny (1Fast99z) torquing everything down and checkin dot to dot and proof you can fit in there.

puttin it all back together

powerbond install


hopefully the headers come in tomrrow and we can finish her up by friday.

Nice job. I am gonna be doing that here very soon, but my car is already tore down. Have fun with the headers.

what timing chain/gear set you go with? my car is all torn down as well...swapping my cam to a slightly different one as well as my whole trans, diff, cradle all in my garage....i got stuff everywhere....hope i know where everything goes

That is the Ls2 timing gear set installed.

Nice! Pat G grind? I want to swap out my cam that he speced for me for a different one...not happy at all with my numbers (433/402 with cam, ported fast 90/90, lt, pulley, vararam) Lookin forward to your results

ya its a pat g grind....i wouldnt be unhappy with those numbers....thats easy 470rwhp with a good set of heads....470 rwhp with a low 230s cam is stout...plus you said it was street tuned...how do you know if timing was optimal on the dyno?

I had it tuned on the street b/c we didnt have access to a dyno. Plus with the vararam, the airflow on the street vs the dyno is soooo much different. I plan on getting on a dyno with my laptop and hpt to see if I can get things moving a little better

well we got her done, just have to install the rest of the exhaust tomrrow.
it sounded freaking crazy with just the headers.

headers went on nice and smooth


got the steering rack (wasnt to bad)





all done

Billy looked like a little kid at christmas morning when we fired it up. I'm very pleased with the way this install went. We'll get the rest of the exhaust on tomorrow afternoon and get video of the car.
