Post Pics of 305-35-18 tires on stock rims
I need some rear tires and am considering a 305-35-18.. Wondering how they look.. I have the stock tire size up front and they still have 70% tread.. Will this affect the looks with the 305-35 on the rear

You should be more concerned about diameter Vs width. The stock rear tire diameter is 26.1 inches while the stock front diameter is 25.4 inches. A 305/30/18 will be around 25.4 inches in diameter. Some people can run equal or close to equal diameters in front and rear with no problem but others have problems with the traction control cutting in. You should try and maintain at least a half inch difference in diameter. You should also use the same brand tire and style tire front and rear as well.

He said 305/35/18 not 305/30, a 305/35/18 outside diameter is about 26.3 inches.
David,
A lot of us run 305/35/18s on the back and they look fine. However, I do agree with Bill that it's best to match brand/style/compound tires and even age. Here's a couple of pictures of some Nitto Extreme 555RIIs 275/40/17 on the front and 305/35/18 on the rear (as far as looks go your front 265/40/17 may actually look proportionally better since it will have a smaller side wall than a 275/40/17 and be more similar looking to a rear 305/35, but it will change the rake on your car):

Thanks for the pictures. I do prefer using the same brand tires, however the Firestone Wide ovals do not come in the 305/35 size.. I like the setup you have very much.. I may just sell the front wideovals with 70% tread on them.. Send some more pics of them on the car if you get a chance.. Muchas Gracias

I do not think that there is a 305/35/18 that is not a r compound tire I might be wrong.
