DBA's 4000 Series is their mid-range enhanced performance rotor. It features Thermal Stability Profiling for improved heat handling and Thermo-Graphic paint markings for effective heat monitoring. The unique 6x6 Wiper Slot is designed to efficiently clear dust and debris while maintaining consistent friction and a cleaner disc surface. The DBA 5000 Series is a direct replacement two-piece disc brake rotor, designed for drivers seeking performance braking. The DBA 5000 series disc rotors consists of two main components: the aluminum center hat and the cast iron disc rotor. These two components are bolted together with NAS (National Aerospace Standard) bolts and lock nuts, hence the term 'two-piece' rotor. The main advantage of a two-piece rotor (with aluminum hat), is the ability to allow the cast-iron disc rotor to expand and contract uniformly as the temperature rises and falls during brake application. The benefits of this is minimal distortion and warping of the cast-iron disc rotor. The Aluminum mounting center hat is made from super-light 6061-T6 Aluminium material, as used in aircraft structural design. The thermal conductivity and high strength of hat allows it to handle large temperature changes. The benfits of this is minimal distortion and warping of the cast-iron disc rotor. All DBA 5000 series rotors are slotted; slotting limits the possibility of glazing your brake pads and allows better 'pad-bite' under extreme braking conditions. Slotting constantly improved the disc pad friction face by wiping away the impurities and resins in the friction material. The DBA 5000 series rotors are manufactured with directional slotting, i.e. Left-Wheel disc slotting and Right-wheel disc slotting.

There is not a 2-piece rear rotor in the 5000 series?

I'm pretty sure all of the 5000 series is a 2 piece design, and the 4000's are 1 piece.

x2 that does suck, with all the trouble people are having with rear stock rotors, for the $, these maybe worth a shot....

Not quite sure what you mean, I'm well aware the 5000 series is 2 piece and 4000 series is 1 piece...

My post is about there not being a 2-piece rotor for the rears... I would never run a 2-piece rotor on the front and a 1-piece rotor on the rear.....

That's correct. The 5000 series is only available in the front.
