Trunk Divider, Best Price and Product?
I am looking for a decent trunk divider. Mainly for a quieter ride and better speaker acoustics. Fit and finish is the most important thing for me. I want it to look like it belongs there and be secure. Can someone point me to what they feel is the best product?

I love the partition and tray I got from Southern Car Parts. Fits great and matches the interior perfectly. Looks like a factory option. Car is a little quieter and the sound system sounds way better. AC cools the car off quicker. Can't remember what I paid....I think it was like $270 shipped. Worth every penny IMO.

The SCP partition for the FRC/Z06 is a snug fit. There are velcro straps that fasten to the bar looking thing in the trunk on top that runs the span of the trunk...I dont even use mine its such a perfect fit.
I noticed that the OP has a coupe in his avatar pic though. Not sure what they are offering for coupes these days partition wise.

The partition has 2 velcro straps at the top that attach it to area underneath the rear window by the front of the decklid. Then the tray fits tightly between the partition and the hump where the trunk area starts behind the seats. No holes to drill and you can remove it in like 60 seconds. Check out their website.

Reduced volume and muffled...........
Howdy dogg;
If you're interested in a noise partition that's fine but realize that installing one will reduce the sound volume from the rear speakers (rear speakers on FRC and 2001 Z06 are in the trunk) and will muffle the bass tones as well. I have a new partition design that incorporates 6.5" Boses speakers into the partition to negate the issues of trunk speakers.
The noise partitions will reduce the trunk noise level 20-30%. I would suggest pulling up the carpets( easy to do from the back of the seats and into the trunk wells ect) and installing an audio sound deadener ( I use DynaMatt ot FatMatt) and the noise level will drop 50%.
The best noise partition I've ever seen are my own two (2) inch thk foil backed polypropylene DIY partitions( I've done four (4) now on FRCs and Z06es). Several aftermarket partitions are only one inch (1) thk. Most all are snug fitting but some use Velcro strip.
Oh an added benefit of adding the above audio deadener and noise partition is temperature variations are reduced.

Looked twice............
I had to look twice in both the FRC and Z06 and sure enough the OEM speakers are positioned in front of the partition. Humm? Either I was thinking of rear speaker boxes or old age caught me.

I think the basic partition from southern is only $130 plus shipping. sounds like an even better deal at that price.
