PCV Oil Catch Cans Back In Stock...CCA
PCV Oil Catch Cans
$129.99
They come in 4 colors. Red, Silver, Black and Blue
[/CENTER]
Our Oil Catch Cans are made of T-6061 Billet Aluminum. All the fittings on this unit are brass. The catch can is a two chamber design and comes with a changeable filter element for easy cleaning.
LSx engines all suffer from oil vapor blow by into the intake manifold under hard driving conditions. The two chamber design helps trap the oil vapor, and separates it into the second chamber for safe keeping. The benefit is that you keep your manifold from getting all gummed up and robbing you of horsepower.

I have one of these. Awesome quality, easy install and the protection it provides is worth a whole lot more than the small price you pay for one of these.

Thanks, that looks pretty crazy (the fact that there is that much oil)
how do you empty it?
and in the install pics, I see the TB vacuum hose was never put back on, that goes back like it used to be, that isn't touched right?

a dixi cup...
The TB line was just removed for pics and is not part of this install
Basically the hook up is like this,
Take your PCV line and connect it to the top of the can.
From the side of the can, run the line back to the manifold.

I was talking to a friend about this, and he told me that I wasted my money. I showed him a picture of all the oil trapped from hard driving, and he said, so what happens if you suck in a little bit of oil that's burnt up anyways? it's like a 2 stroke then. and plus why would GM release an engine with a problem like this if it was such a big issue...
So it makes me wonder now
what disadvantages does oil have going into your engine?
only one I can think of is you don't gunk up your intake manifold, which would trap micro dust/dirt that the filter couldn't catch, which in due time will turn to crust and limit air flow. as far as engine internals, I don't see how it can be bad in any way though?
