Yeah, sounds like you have the original venom. The Venom II moves the MAF up by the throttle body.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think one is better/preferred over the other, and why?

The legendary C5 Halltech Venom is back, but now called the Halltech Venom II.

Utilizing the same design as the C6 Z06 Killer Bee II, the Venom is one of the few "zero hack" (no cutting or permanent modifications to your engine bay) Corvette C5 intakes that gives a very respectable HP bump (10-15 RWHP) and can easily be removed and the car taken back to stock.

We have them in stock, on sale, and with free shipping in the lower 48 states. We also toss in the Flow Straightener for the C5 Z06 (only car that needs it) at no additional charge...

More info with install instructions at the link below...

I have an 04 Z06 I'm putting an LS3 based416 that was in my 02 camaro and I'm needing a cai to use with it in the Z.

Between the KBII and the VenomII, which is going to be the better choice to feed this 620hp engine and have the best street manners? It will be getting a dyno tune when done, so that is a given.

Incorrect, this intake re-locates the MAF. The MAF is usually right after the filter.
