getting c1287 code, where is the steering rate sensor located...thanks. 2003 Z06

above the brake pedal, close to the firewall on the steering column

FYI you have to remove the steering column assembly...i have the service manuals btw....im in the process of doing this myself hope this fixes the issue...if not i have all the other possible reasons why this code is thrown.! and the fixes...this is the cheapest and first thing to start with so thats my course of action....if your abs is working fine like mine then this seems like the best fix!
