I drove my garage queen across the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway to work, all the while thinking "Those 12 plus hours I spent this past weekend installing a sound deadening package helped, but not nearly as much as I had hoped for." Still have lots of tire noise at rear. Perhaps I'll damp the wheel well insert and stuff some bagged insulation up into the body. Taming tire noise on the C5Z is really difficult!

I had the rear jacked up with the wheels off and replaced the stock shock nut on the top.
I had replaced the rubber stuff (worn out and deformed) with BANSKI spherical bearings, but reused the OEM nuts.
I replaced the OEM nuts with stainless lock nuts and got rid of the rattles.
The front shocks nuts are easy, just jack up the front and reach over the wheel.

Last month I was approached at a car show and guy wanted to know if I would sell my 04 Z06 CE. Told him everything is for sale!.
Told him what I wanted and he showed up a week later with money in hand. So I let it go even though it was a fun car.
Drove it for 2 years and ended up make a few dollars on the deal. Can't say that more many cars.

Installed the MGW Flat Stick Short Throw Shifter. Definitely feels better than stock and shorter throws too, butI am a little underwhelmed by it given all the hype

Burning Brakes
After breaking the output shaft on my stock tranny just finished installing a RPM Level 6 tranny and a Leveo 3 diff. Did the rear main seal while I was that far in.
