Has anyone painted a C5 Z06 roof black like a ZR1
I'm brand new to this forum, so sorry if this has already been covered. I just got my hands on a 2003 red Z06 in great shape, but it is 100% stock. I am trying to find if anybody has painted the roof black, similar to a C6 ZR1? I'm not brave enough to try it without seeing it!

Did my rear bumper the other day (also an 03 Red Z). plasti-dip is really friendly stuff to work with.

FYI...the ZR1 roof is carbon fiber not black.

Looks cool to me! I wouldn't do it to my car, but I don't mind the look at all. I am one of those guys who like the bone stock look on almost all my cars, and usually hate custom touches, but I think it looks pretty cool.
The 2nd one looks like it was done in Dodge "GoMango" orange.

That looks nicer than I thought it would. I usually wuss-out on major changes and keep cars stock. Maybe the plasti-dip will be a good way to see how I like it. My biggest concern is finding a good body shop that can do it right. I've had 3 horrible auto painting experiences in the Tampa area from "good" body shops. Anybody happen to be in the Tampa area and have a recommendation for a good paint shop?

I might be getting mine wrapped just like this soon. Been thinking about it for a while just haven't pulled the trigger yet. If I do I will surely post pics. I would not paint it as it would cost far to much to get it swapped back if I were to ever sell it.

Driver side roof was a bit messed up easiest way of explaining it was it looked like it had wet spots...it was all dry in fact fyi this stuff drys QUICK. Oh and I left the bumper on I love it. I also painted my screws for the tail lights black with real paint lol.
