I have an 03 Z06 with about 480 rwhp. Do you think a RXT twin disk is overkill or will it be fine?
Why would a customer require additional balancing? Wouldn't Mcleod make sure the flywheel and clutch system is balanced?

The RXT is a GREAT clutch and drives very well... I don't think it's overkill for your application. Most customers don't need the additional balancing as the flywheel and clutch are each balanced separately. The additional balancing balances both of them together. For Vettes I ALWAYS recommend a clutch better than what you really need because of how hard and expensive it is to change out a clutch.
Do you need a new clutch? Don't waste your money on a stock clutch! When doing a clutch install in a Vette it's FAR better to get one that's more than what you need due to the labor expense.
Mcleod RXT & RST Clutches hold up to 1000HP/RWTQ but yes have a nice easy pedal to them.

Car is a Porsche 944 with 5.3 and Precision 6566 Turbo. Everything from Torque tube back is from 2004 Z06. Car will mostly be a street car but would love to take it to couple track days a year. It will probably never see 1/4 mile mostly street driving and occasional track day if I am lucky.
