Default Returning to stock ride height

New owner of 2001 Z06 that PO had slammed to the ground. It was lowered 2" from stock at the fender lips both front and rear. Once I got into it I find that the front adjusters are completely removed and had a cheesy rubber pad under the spring - WTF. I also found that the rear bushing have been cut down to about 1/4" top and bottom. For anyone wanting to know how much the car can go lower in the front this is about it. I measured 25.675 front and 26.5 rear at the fender lip.

BTW if everyone measued their height form the center of the wheels to the fender lip it would eliminate tire/wheel/air pressure etc. variations. I did not find any info. on measuring the ride height like this.

Anyone have a set of stock front adusters they want to part with? Will gladly pay $$ plus shipping.

Was thinking about fabricating my own front adjusters but have not determined the thread pitch yet. Anyone know this?

I ended up putting a 3/4 inch wood block under the front spring just to determine what length of bolt I need. Looks like this gives me about 1" lower than stock. LF=27.125 RF=26.875. Frame measures about 4.75" front and 5.0" rear.

From all of this it looks like I will need about 3/4" to 1" of adjustment under the front spring to be able to adjust to stock height. Anyone have a stock front adjustment bolt that they can measure for me or send me a picture if it next to a tape measure?

Do you know if the 2001 Z06 front adjuster is different from a vert. or coupe?

I would try the dealer, the bolts shouldn't be that much.

Gm does not sell the c/5 adjusters seperately.
You must buy the completye front spring w/adjusters.
That's why it is not a great idea to cut the bushings off the stock adjusters instead of opting for the after market adjusters, which allready have the bushings removed.

You can buy the C6 front spring bolts (without having to but the spring) which have smaller rubber head on them, but you can just crank the bolt a little higher to compensate if you want stock or near stock height.

Thanks for the replies. I have a couple of forum members willing to sell me stock bolts. I would rather go back to a stock bolt as I have no intention on lowering it more than the stock bolts allow.

I believe your making the right decission.

Here is write up in regards to getting the adjuster out & new one in.
Dissregard the hacking of the GM bushing.
