Default Under drive pulleys

I'm having a cam done next week. It was suggested I do a pulley. Any downside? Or just pull the trigger.

The stocker has to come off during the cam change anyway. I did an UD pulley and have seen no adverse affects. I'd say go for it.

Run a search in C5-TECH section. There is at least one aftermarket underdrive pulley documented to have contributed to premature timing chain failures.

Installed 25% underdrive pulley. use the car only for autocross. This summer had overheating problems never had before, had to add larger radiator.

A lot of mixed reviews on this subject all over. I'm going to ease the hammer down and pass on this mod.

Dude don't buy into it. Get a SLP UD Pulley, its like $200.00 and worth it. I have done many cam swaps on vettes and F-Body's and have never had a issue with the SLP UD pulley. Just make sure to get a LS2 timing chin when you upgrade that cam.

I'm trusting my tuner. He said it's the SLP part and he's never had a problem with them. So bang it's on the car.
