Default Where to put the money? catch can or stainless brake lines?

where do you guys think the money would be better spent? Catch can or stainless steel brake lines. The car has good rotors on it with factory pads.
Thanks

thanks for the response, why would you choose the can? I'm undecided so could you explain why? I would like to hear different opinions.
Thanks
Justin

IMO a catch can is a must have. It keeps oil out of the intake system. These motors are notorious for passing oil and gunking things up. You will understand when you go to drain it. It's an item I would not hesitate to buy used. Brake lines are good if you autox your car but you will want the catch can for autox also.

Catch can, your car doesn't have one but needs it. You have brake lines and they work just fine, though yes the SS lines will be an improvement.

I just ordered one myself, will likely install it tomorrow. SS lines are on my list too.

Do u guys keep the PVC valve when installing a can, or do u eliminate it totally?

Leaving mine in. There are threads discussing this and most seem to agree that you should leave it.

DO NOT remove the PCV valve, unless you have a specific reason and you know exactly what you are doing. It performs a very important job and the cost in power and weight is negligible.

Catch can. I'm amazed at how much oil accumilates in there and I'm primarliy just an aggressive street daily driver with rare occurences of high performance driving. Oil that would've been in the intake tract. Stock brake lines however are working just fine.

Is it bad to have a catch can with the breather on top?

Personally, I wouldnt do either but if I had to choose, catch can. As long as the install goes right, there is a benefit. And it does dress up the engine compartment a bit.

I chose the catch can. The local race car shop only had a breathable one so I temporally installed it in case I want the non breathable one. I have the pcv valve in place which at this point may be useless with the breather. So this mod can't hurt the engine in any way?
