The seasons have alot to do with it too. The best time to buy is in the winter like I did, and the worst time to buy is in the spring/summer. I would only sell my car during the spring/summer season if I wanted to get the highest price possible.

I told a cpl guys 30k for my car, forged 402, d1sc, e85, id2000 injectors, 08zo6 tranny n diff, iforged wheels, rps twin disk, big fuel system, 38k miles, speedway white mod red 01. I guess it's pry too much but I won't sell it for less, I have that much in mods. I am not going to go thru the hassle of trying to sell it by posting a big add n having a bunch of tire kickers collect pictures from me so I will probably own it forever. I will let my daughter drive it to school if nothing else lol

The C5Z market is terrible with the current economy and will get worse when the C7 comes out. I have seen some great local C5Zs with 50-70K miles going for $18K...makes me want to buy another one.

I dont think so, nice c5 z06s go for mid 20s.

I traded in my perfect 17k 02 blk/blk all stock Z06 3 years ago for 26.5. I would think you could get perfect low mile cars for low 20's now all day long. I suspect the driver or higher mileage cars >30,000 are going for sub 20k. JMHO.
That said they are awesome cars and I wish I never sold mine. If the car was perfect enough and had < 20k on it and it was exactly what you wanted I could see paying mid 20's. It is always worth a few extra g if it is exactly what you want vs waiting to save some money. You gotta figure what is it worth to have fun right away opposed to wasting time searching for that perfect car that is also a perfect deal.

I just bought, 2 weeks ago, a '03 TR Z with 21K miles for $22K. It is bone stock mechanically with some appearance mods. Two gentlemen in their 60's used it as a show car so it is as clean as any I have ever seen, top to bottom. I thought I might of overpaid a bit, but I am a very happy guy with the car and the deal.

I just picked up a great deal on lightly modded 0Z with 62k miles seller was asking 20k but we settled for $18,000. It did need new tires and alignment but i couldn't be happier. Hud, c6z shocks, ls7 clutch, lt headers, bullet axle back, and more
I did read in a mag the c5's have likely hit rock bottom and they have started to see prices rise. The C6's will take largest hit with c7 i bet.

It can be rebuilt for around $800 plus labor. We just rebuilt my mn12 from the GTO with triple cone syncros, billet keys, all new bearings and seals etc. The issue is getting it down and unassembled then reassembled.

It definitely is a buyers market no doubt about it. These cars are 10 yrs old and are still performance bargains but time marches on. I am thinking about a zr1 or gtr, I have no need to sell my z to get one so if I ever sell mine it will be for the price I want.

C5Z = $14,000. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-c...6-15500-a.html
Think what you want, but unfortunately for the next several years the C5Z will not bring much more than $20k tops.
Especially with desperate sellers due to the economy.

Seems that 23000 is the magic area. Alot of people want what they have in mods out of it...Well I would say that a modded car is worth less than a low mile stocker due to the increased ammount of wear and tear on the Short block and the driveline. Anything under 15000 mi. is fetching a good price your car has 50k+ it is yellow (sorry bro but your selling to a very limited crowd) and near the coast (salt), yes I know it wont hurt the body but not everything on a C5 Z is aluminum/fiberglass, stainless steel and titanium not to mention it wreaks havoc on electronics. I would say low 20's

I bought mine in the San Francisco Bay Area last summer with 40K miles for $21K. I would think you would get about the same amount being a year newer car, and with a year passed since I bought mine.
