I think you will find that yellow is actually one of the most high demand colors out there. You may not like it, but I see them going for a premium. The other color that goes for a lot is Electron Blue (or obviously the Z16 for '04). Also, San Diego isn't an area known for rusty cars. So that should be a non-issue. There is a reason why "California cars" usually sell for more than a "Nebraska car".
This was the least of my concerns but,
I may have been unclear when I explained the whole coast line issue, these are no longer the hot rods people are looking to restore and "rust or petina being the issue and certainly not electronics as they hardley had any, (because I am sure a corvette near the beach see a lot more salt exposure than a corvette in Nebraska)
San Diego is an area known for pitted chrome.

I will need to find a guy who wants a modded car and knows what it cost to start from scratch, selling anything modded always takes time. I sold my 03 for 22k 2 yrs ago, needed tires and I sold it to a friend without any hassle.

Yellow is the rarest color with 405hp and should be sought out for.
In 2002 only 1,065 yellow Z06's were built.
In 2003 only 1,708 yellow Z06's were built.
In 2004 only 629 yellow Z06's were built.

Bought my TR new, three years use as a SCCA National Tour car (trailered not many miles) modes, expensive DA shocks. Next it took me to my 150mph club at Bonneville (it took twelve passes, and two seasons to make it in), and a few track days. It has been driven across Europe for a month seeing 163 mph on an open section of the A24. Taken me across the US three time, and one trip to Alaska. It's been driven in all weather conditions. It's eaten more brakes, and tires then I (or my wife wants to know). I'v repaired the ABS Module, four serpentine belts along with two sets of pulleys, and one air conditioner clutch.
Oh and it's getting close to the big Century mark on the clock.
The Z cost me upper $40s new, but is PRICELESS now.

There are more yellow Z's for sale than any other color combo.
I was very frustrated when I was looking, had a black FRC, and loved it but I became a professional detailer owning that thing, It needed to be cleaned everyday , This time I wanted Silver,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,talk about a tough color to find for sale!

The yellow one had some ugly mods on it like tail light louvers and chromed rims. Those definitely don't help the value.

We all love the 2001 Speedway White (only 352 Z06 units built) pry being the most rare but even they are not an instant sale here. The price on them still ranges in the high teens to low 20's
Only 2025 Commemorative Le Mans units Z16's were made and they sell for mid to high 20's, therefor bringing the highest dollar fora Z.-And the most sought after by collectors.
Just my honest opinion here...

They shade the clear coat, (an extra step in the painting process) this is why it is such a tough color match if there are any blemishes or collisions.
