HA! That's awesome! Lou makes these out of his house garage with a very basic machining setup...haha. I've been to his house before just north of san diego. He's a vette lover 100%...has ALMS vette stuff everywhere, and owns a C5. I still have one of his early systems in a box I didn't use.

I've been so busy out here I didn't even get to his booth. I gotta be sure and stop by tomorrow and congratulate him.

Way to go Lou!

That's cool that you know him.

This looks to be pretty cool I think.

Can it shift faster than a human though and is it as accurate? The sequential sounds nice. Will it work with modded trannies?

This is basically a "combo" system...gives you the accuracy of a paddle shift, while still requiring you to push a clutch.

Basically, the system waits for your clutch kick. So, for example, while you're climbing through 5000rpm on the way to redline in second, you click the "up" paddle. The system then waits for your clutch kick and shifts to third instantly, as fast as you can "kick".

It is also great for road racing...example...long 4th or 5th gear straight, to a sharp 2nd gear left turn, before you even begin breaking click "down" three times...the "2" blinks and waits for your clutch kick. Jump hard on brakes, stomp clutch and heel/toe, instant 5-2 shift, dead accurate in 2/10's of a second.

The system works, and it's been around a while. Early development of the system gave it a bad rap in some arenas. He stuck with it though, put in safety systems and continued refining the system itself. It's gotten better and better.
