Hi Steve,
We only make them in the 4 gauge version. They are hydraulically crimped and sealed with a weather tight shrink tubing.
Are you running a mega watt stereo is that why you're asking about the 2gauge?
Thank you,
Christian

No stereo equipment yet, but I will in the future. 2 gauge cables are a good upgrade over 4 gauge which is better for the whole charging and starting sysyem, especially if you add on any additional stereo equipment or add a higher voltage alternator. If you add solder pellets to the terminals and melt them before crimping you'll end up with a better electrical connection that will also last longer because it's more vibration resistant than a crimp alone. The strand count of the cables used can also impact current flow and resistance. A higher strand count is much better and also makes the cables more flexible.

So I have a red top battery with side and top posts, but using the top posts currently. Would I be able to use your side post kit, leaving everything else as is, and have it charge just as well/better?

Hi dbs1vette,
Yes a side post Big 3 will work with all the same benefits on your Red Top with side and top post set up.

Thank you,
Christian
