SLP Loudmouth-Inserts on or off w/tpis long tubes
Installing the loudmouths this weekend and I have the TPIS longtubes w/cats and no X pipe!
My question is should I install the so called muffler inserts or not.If I do does it just reduce the exhaust tone or the gurggeling?
I love that LOUD exhaust note. :smash:

I haven't even tried using the inserts yet. I love it as it is. I would say to leave them out for now. If you don't like it, see if adding them changes the sound in any way.
Got a question for you - one of the semi-local C5 guys also has TPIS headers and claims that they did not make his car much louder if at all. He runs a Corsa Touring system right now. Did you notice a jump in volume?
I know it sounds like a stupid question. My RS once I added the 1 3/4" tubes literally barked to life - a very noticable difference. So I am wondering how the C5s can supposedly maintain the current volume?

Yes,the long tubes did increase the volume just a bit.It was a slight increase at that but it really woke the Z up even more, and eliminated a lot if not all of that popping that it use to have.
I just hope the Loudmouths dont bring it back.
Thanx
