Halltech makes the Worlds First C7 Stingray Carbon Fiber CKN Induction system- FB Vid
Finally, the second longest most expensive intake we have ever made (Super Bee CF112 takes the cake).
The Halltech Stingray Stinger CKN fully sealed cold air induction for the C7.
What a day to do final fitment and testing. Cold out here at -2 last night and 5 to 10 degrees today.
60 mile test drive shows perfect long term fuel trims, perfect idle, a new sound from the motor like dual quads (only if you are old enough to remember this awesome sound).
IATs within 6F degrees of ambient, not using our thermocoupler, which is obviously more accurate than the OAT. There is a degree or two disparity between the factory OAT and the internal IAT sensor in the MAF itself. The MAF now includes a humidistat as well. Cool.
We would typically see +10 to 20 degrees F with the stock airbox, just depended on the weather. Really cold out seems to increase the disparity. The point is we are golden.
So golden, that the fan accomplished very little downward movement of the temps, but does create some pressure (minimal at 235 cfm) but cannot be taken to the horsepower bank at this time. It does increase long term fuel trims to +18%, which would eventually code, so it is for those that want some help in the Summer months. It is really no longer necessary.
A couple teaser pictures. Way too cold to do much more driving before Christmas. I still have shopping to do.
