2003 C5 ZO6 - Ultimate Street Car build
(more pics and event updates on page 4)
The car has been through quite a bit of changes, thought CR was as good of a place as any to share it.
The car will transition back to racing with turns. I had fun at the drag strip thing, but I just enjoy road racing more. I am building the car to do the Pro-Touring style thing, for street car events, primarily the Optima Ultimate Street Car series, LS Fest Grand Champion competition, and other events like Midwest Musclecar Challenge.
I am keeping the nitrous, for use at events that have a drag racing portion/competition, and to still have some fun at things like Friday Night Lightz and Cincy Street Wars....

Still need to wrap up the drivetrain and aero... Then comes the suspension and will get an accusump to protect the motor until a Daily Engineering dry sump can be installed...

Damn, that car looks great. Nice bunch of mods you already have on the car. Be sure to post updates as you do more work.

Thanks guys!
You make a great product! I was very impressed at how easily those large primaries slid right in without having to do any antics with the motor/subframe!
Also seriously considering your GT2 wing to compliment my aero package.
The machine work and short block assembly was done by All In Racing Engines in Cincinnati. I got a partial sponsorship deal. Contact Jimmy at All In for a quote. Tell him Juicy referred you (could also use my name, but Juicy will give him a chuckle)

Danny put the car together right? I have wings in stock, just yell at me or Danny when you want to pick one up. Shoot me an email and I can give you some install pics with it too.

Very nice, I like watching the Ultima shoot out on TV.
Had the TPE flares on for long?
How much power are you expecting to make? What are you doing for brakes?

I just installed the TPE fenders. TPE was great to work with. I know others have expressed concerns in the past, but I thought he was just fine. The time it took was longer than expected, but he stood behind his business and offered to cover shipping due to the delay, that was beyond his control. I would definitely do business with him again.
As far as power, I would guess around ~570whp on motor when I get it dialed in.
Need to figure brakes out. Stockers will work for these street car events, but really should step it up. Ultimately I will do what Danny tells me to do there, lol

That car is a BAD boy, very nicely done, one of the coolest C5Zs I've seen in a while!
How do you like those BFG Rival tires? I was thinking of those for my next set. I currently have Michelin PS2s, which are great all-around, but don't really have enough dry grip for my 555rwhp LS7. I used to have Nitto RIIs, which had great dry grip, but were very poor in the wet, scary at times if caught in a downpour. I was between these Rivals and Toyo R888s for my next set of tires. I have CCW wheels and run 275/35/18 and 315/30/18 sizes.
Thank you!
