Rebuilt title z06
Hey guys,
I thought if post here to get some advice. I'm in the market for a Z06. I used to own one about 10 years ago and have that itch to get one again. I had a millennium yellow which was awesome. I'm looking for a speedway white z06, but owners are asking top dollar for those which I understand, but still not willing to overpay. I came across an 04 Z06, yellow with a rebuilt title. Car is running, and according to the owner very well. It needs cosmetic work, perhaps an entire paint job. My thought was to just get it painted sw white. The car is yellow and has about 62k miles on it. Price is 12,500... Thoughts? I know I'll have to dump like 5k to get it looking it's best. Do you guys think I can get a clean speedway white z for about 17k or should I just buy this one and get it over with?
Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Dont even have to think about this one.... youre almost at the same price buying a clean title '01 Z06 vs a rebuilt title '04 Z06.. Definitely the clean title!!

if you liked yellow and the car was repaired correctly that's a good buy
however
if you want white, it's not, you'll spend $3000 to do a nice paint job on a car that's still worth about 12.5
the white 01s don't come up for sale often, you may be waiting awhile or paying top dollar

rebuilt title
Hi; Just remember the car had to be wrecked and probably totaled by the insurance co. And the title being a salvage or rebuilt title will always be with the car. Next if you paint the car s w white it will not match the paint code for the car. Last and most important was the car repaired properly, or will, it ever be , safety can be a very likely issue with a car that is never going to drive correctly. just my opinion but you buy junk and you end up with junk , Why not wait and buy a car that you can get for 20k and drive it to have fun without dumping money into a wrecked car. You can always paint a good car down the road, white , when you can afford to. good luck be smart-be safe

Hey, I appreciate your advice . I'm convinced. I'll stay away from anything that is salvaged. I guess I was looking for good value . I have a few cars and was looking for a toy since I have a white E55 AMG and a rare hellrot red E38. Was looking for that American muscle at a good value price. Is like to get a white Z06. If anyone knows of one that is reasonably priced and well taken care of, I'll buy it.
Thanks!

If the price is right and the owner and mechanic can prove that its been repaired correctly then I would buy it.
Ive brought plenty of salaved/reconstructed cars for good prices and have never had any issues with them besides finding an insurance company to give me full coverage..I think the only clean title car ive owned was my Z.lol.
