Looking to buy a blackout kit.. Thinking about going with a "light tint" vetteshop premium kit (the one where it sticks on with 3m clear tape)

When I bought my C5z, it has chrome louvers on it and the screws are too large. Where should I buy tail light screws?

Would you guys advise for/against the blackout kits that stick on the tail lights with tape? What do you do if you need to change a tail light bulb and the blackout is taped over the screws?

I'm worried the blackout kit will be too dark over the brake lights, so if you guy have any pictures you could post, I would appreciate it. I just want to make sure the brake lights will easily be seen if you step on the brakes.

I am pretty much looking at 3 kits:
*Vettemods "premium" 9 piece dark tint molded kit (sticks on with tape)
*Vettemods "premium" 9 piece light tint molded kit (sticks on with tape)
*GSCreations Molded 7 piece kit (uses stock tail light screws)

if you guys have any photos of these kits with the tail lights on, it would be an immense amount of help!

I used VHT Niteshades to darken mine. It comes in a spray can. You can control the amount of darkness by putting on more coats until it is dark enough. I just used a light double coat on my tail/brake lights as I did not want them black. I just wanted to kill the bright red. They are still very visible when on. The side marker lights have more on them.

These were tinted when I bought them they are dark. I've since done the third brake light the same dark color (Corvette mods) Needed a new one so worked out, but they were so dark that you almost couldn't seen any light even with brake lights. Did a quick search and Radio Flyer had these Cree lights that are bright as shjt and Totally set it off. Plenty of light with the black out look!

I've taken mine off.. had a nice run-in with a state trooper...if you decide you want em, I'll sell them to you, just send a PM. They just need new double sided tape. Also have the front turn signal blackouts. I think I have the covers for the reverse lights in the garage as well.



Sorry I don't have any pics with the lights on. Brake lights were definitely visible with them though.
