Thanks Jeff! Just glad we were able to be there and help out... I remember the days when we had Z16.org and all those pics on the site of gatherings of CE Z's with Hoods Up. Just don't have any recollection of how many was ever gathered, photographed and documented. We wanted to be part of a new try at new a record. I just wish we knew if there was ever a larger gathering. The 18 we had were pretty awesome together. I posted the lineup on the NCM's Facebook homepage but no replies from anyone at the museum yet. I'm gonna contact Bob Bubnis who's chief editor of America's Sports Car to see if there's any interest in him using any of these in the magazine. Also checking with some of the other 'Corvette' periodicals re an 'Interest Feature Shot.' Hope everyone enjoys the pics. Wish I had not had camera overheating issues - we'd of had more to work with than we did... HB

The photo shoot was the best part of the anniversary celebration for me. As far as the number of Z16s, I have seen photos with as many as twelve and fourteen, but none including the Z15 cars. I think that was a great idea to include all the 2004 Commemorative Editions.

The finished photos look great. I put in an order yesterday. Thanks again for all you did to make this a memorable event for all concerned.

Thanks Don,
Even though we all didn't have time to socialize and share some stories I'm also thinking it was the most impressive part of the week - except for seeing the 'Great Eight' and the hole... Hope your pics help preserve the memory.. HB

It's getting better; I no longer need the crutches! Thanks for asking.

I need to hit up a Michael's craft store to see what size panoramic frames they keep in stock.

Good to hear you're getting back up. If you haven't picked your size prints yet, check Michaels.. These the pano's are 1x3 ratio or 1x2 ratio. I think they carry 5x15, 10x30, and 10x20 - it's best to shop frames first then make the picks on our site that fit - You can also buy frame components and get the frame dept to cut your glass to keep costs down..

I offered the pics to Bob Bubnis, Editor of America's Sports Car (NCM's Magazine) and he took me up on it. Said he'd figure some way to incorporate one or more of the images - (sans the text) in a future edition. We'll see what he comes up with...
Thanks again to all who made the shoot possible!
Cool.

Not sure if you arrived early enough to see / participate in the Z16 portion of the shoot for those eighteen CE Z06's hoods up! - You mentioned you were there, so I hope so. The remaining 5 and 3 were '04 Z15 Commemorative Coupes and Roadsters that we were glad to incorporate into the last two shots - one with owners, one without.

I am the owner of Z16 #952 and was fortunate enough to be included in the photos taken that day. The line of the eighteen Z16s made a great photo and it is proudly displayed on the wall in my living room alongside the shots of the group with the Z15s. After all, the coupes and convertibles are Commemorative Editions as well and should be included as a part of this special group of cars. This was the only model year that incorporated all the body styles into the special edition. Just one year earlier, 2003, saw the 50th Anniversary Edition but only available as a coupe or convertible. The Z06 was not offered as an Anniversary car, although it did display the 50th logo as did all 2003 models.

Thanks to all those that participated and especially to Howard for delivering a fine product. As Bill said that day "Let's do this again in ten years!"

Don.

Default Got Mine Framed

I just thought I would bump this with some photos of my print framed and mounted to my office wall. I have it hanging up underneath some of my other Z16 memorabilia. I think the print came out great and the frame/matting looks great as well.

The wide print and matted framing look GREAT!
So pleased the gathering proved a success and that our photo's are now on walls in OUR homes & offices!
