Group Photo - Z16s @ NCM 20th?
Our 2004 Z06/Z16s turn 10 this year...anyone up for a group photo at the National Corvette Museum 20th Anniversary; August 27-30?
There are a lot of events planned (http://www.corvettemuseum.org/) for the anniversary. I recommend we gather offsite somewhere on the 28th or 29th. I live about 3 hours away so we'll likely do a day trip, up and back on the day we nail something down.
If interested sound off below and follow this post for more information as a plan emerges...

Let's set up a date, time and location.
I am thinking perhaps taking the photo somewhere at the new Motorsports Park. Let me make some calls and see what I can come up with.
I am thinking some time on Friday morning. Any idea the number of Z16's?
I can place an email to all those folks on the Caravan chat and see how many will be attending.

I spoke to the NCM and the MSP today and they can not to anything official for assisting us. They did offer up an 8am photo opportunity for 8am on Sunday morning and we can do the shoot at the new MSP.
So how many folks would stick around until mid morning on Sunday to complete the shoot?
Or should we try and find another suitable location on Friday or Saturday? I still think the earlier in the day the better, say 8am on Friday or Saturday, but where?

I appreciate you checking with the NCM staff but suspected they'd be unable to assist....sort of have their plate full right now!
Lets nail this down - from the responses above I recommend Friday morning, 29 August at 10:00 AM at the factory parking lot (first one on the left as you enter, we can adjust if needed when we get there), rain or shine, and do this...somebody bring a camera...a good one!
radar502 - your post states you'll be in town Wed/Thur...think you can stay until Friday morning? IROKNC5 doesn't get in town until late Thursday.
Also, recommend we each make up a couple of 3x5 cards with info about the gathering/photo to leave with other Z16s you see around BG before Friday.
Please sound off below if this day/time/location works

There are 1500 registered Z-16 Z06s in the world not to say that there arn't more around just 1500 registered ..Non Z06s 04s I don't know the deal with them I see people call them Comm. but don't have the strips so I don't get that and aren't Z06s eather ...So what I am saying the Z-16 ZO-6s are kinda rare and to get all you can in a pic is super cool for sure..I am in Houston have seen 3 others here I know one that is a one owner got it new drove it some then starting raceing it and is all stock has 29,000 miles still looks good ,has not driven it on the street in years ..I told him what is is worth

I will be on a business trip. But would want to catch the next one. Had mine 10 years yesterday. I remember we were the Kings for almost two years. Still nice ride and can still beat C6s. Not because I am more powerfull but 10 years of driving this beast I learned how to drive it. However I will say its easier to stay in the powerband with less power. C6Z06 is a narly monster. I will stay with my perfectly powered Z16
Hey good luck to all and God Bless out Troops!
