Pfadt shocks. Is it worth it??
Seen a set of pfadt shocks I have an 04z with stock shocks.. Is it worth the price to upgrade or am I even really upgrading since the 04 shocks are suppose to be really good. Advice needed thanks!

Pfadt made very nice shocks, but you would need to let us know which ones. The JOC shocks are a little more harsh than the DRM Bilsteins mentioned here, according to a friend who had both.
One thing to be very cautious about is that since Pfadt is no longer in business, getting them revolved or serviced would be very difficult - check out some of the posts in the Autocross/Road Race sub forum.

Yea being out of business was one of my concerns. Looks like I'll stay with my stock shocks. But I was told they are the single adjustable inverted shocks

shock choices depend on the weight of the car, spring rate, and tire & alignment choice
around stock weight and stock springs the 04z shocks are as close to ideal as one could hope for the street.

since they are adjustable I'd go for it. check to see if they have a shorter body. If those are your originals, either way replace.

My JOC shocks are pretty good...but am going to LG coilovers. If it were me, I'd only buy Pfadt at a very good deal as if they go bad, you will have to find another shop to repair them...or simply trash them.

Thabks guys most likely I'll pass on the pfadt shocks unless I get them for dirt cheap.. But my car has 49k on it so the original shocks should be fine

Had to bring this back up guys what about the qa1 shocks? I believe there are two versions and this is the one with more settings. I know not very accurate in the description but bear with me

Looking for Pfadt Johnny O'Connell shocks
I just bought a 2003 Z06 and I am looking for some good track shocks and sway bars.
My friend put the JOC shocks and Z06 sway bars on his 2008 Base Corvette. His car outperformed C6 Z06's on the track.
Now that I am building this one for weekend warrioring at local road courses, I am looking for some good shocks.
If anyone has a line on a set of these, please let me know.
Thanks,
Jeff

I bought my C5Z with DRM and really like them. I can't compare much to stock but they ride at least as well at my fathers stock C6 Z51. Sorry I haven't been to the track yet

The DRM shocks are amazing shocks, I had them on my previous C6 Z06.
Having said that, they are built/designed around the C6 Z06. Not sure if they would be an upgrade from the 04' shocks or not.
I am sure they work well on a C5 Z06 , but since they were specifically designed for the C6 Z, I am not sure how well or if better than the 04' shocks for a C5
