Default parking brake grind

noticed a "rhythmic" grinding noise coming from the rear end (sounds like the center of the car) that starts slow at low speeds and begins making the noise faster as im going faster (grind grind grind grind ect). Found if I lightly lift the parking brake that the noise is eliminated. Noise is not affected by turning either way. It also seems to hold well on hills. Ive come to the assumption by reading the forum that its my parking brake. How do I fix this? Do I just need to adjust the parking brake? Do I need new pads?
I also read something about having to grind to outside of some rotor...I have no clue how I need to fix this. Any help/advice is much appreciated. thanks

2002 z06 stock suspension and brake setup. idk what pads.

Default

noticed the brake "stiff black line" rubbing the wheel. It rubbed a smooth divit into the wire itself. I zip tied it back so it doesnt rub. Noise gone.
