Calling on all 18-30 year old C5Z owners...
Would you be all over a new C7 if you could swing it?
A Yes or No is fine.

No. Will not be all over a C7. I'm 23 and if age matters I bought my C5Z at the age of 21. At the time I could've afforded a C6Z but choose my C5Z. Even now I choose it over the C7, not financially but the fact the C7 doesn't "wow" me. Would buy a C6Z or ZR1 before a C7.

If money wasn't an object I'd pick up a C7Z next year. until I've got enough money set aside to retire comfortably, I don't know that I can justify spending that kind of money on a toy that's going to depreciate like crazy though.

If I could financially swing it I'd try to pick up a used ZR1 over the C7. My local dealer is asking $72,000 for a Stingray in the showroom. Much rather have a ZR1 at that price.

The car just looks a little overdone. And that chrime strip in the front faccia is cheap looking. And can't stand the chrome stingray on the sides either. But what a performer it is.
And the seats are a big improvement. Still hard to justify three times the cost of my Z. And in my opinion, the C5 FRC is the most beautiful corvette ever. Unmistakable with any other car. Pure poetry of design.
Not over the top.
If I do take the plunge, it will be a convertible. Much better looking than the coupe. IMHO!!!

No I bought my c5z because its a raw untamed machine, you need to be a decent driver to push its limits. Something tells me my grandmother could hustle a new vette around a track fairly quickly. I'd go for a c6z before a c7.

Looks better than a C6 Z and less money.
I think I just decided to go for it.

Tough question. I'm on the upper end of your spectrum as I turn 29 soon and, as funny as it sounds, my main concern would be the center-mount exhaust on the C7. I need room for a hitch to bring a tire/tool trailer to the track, but I guess if money was no object I could just hire someone to haul my stuff to the track?
In truth, though, if money was no object I would not choose a Corvette at all. I would choose a new Porsche Cayman S or some kind of Lotus. I bought a C5Z because of its high performance-per-dollar, not because I have a particular love for Corvettes. My long-term goal is to get something with the engine behind me, which might very well end up being a Factory Five GTM using a bunch of parts off my C5Z.

It is a nice handling car, but a pumped and well sorted out C5Z should be able to hang with it.

Yup
What prompted the question? It seems most are interpreting it as either/or, which you didn't explicitly state, but if that was the case I'd just patiently wait a few years until the C7 depreciated by the value of my car

I'm 28; I like the C7, but I don't like the weight gain the C7 got.
If money wasn't a problem, I'd go with a C6Z07, C6ZR1, GenIV ACR, or a GenV TA instead (in order of affordability), and that's exactly what I intend to do when I can.
If they had built (or do build) a C7 in the spirit of the Z/28... that would get my attention.

I'm a little out if the range, 35, but if given the choice I would pass on the C7. If I wanted a Ferrari 360 I would by a Ferrari 360. I'd take a C6 with the 7.0L though

21—no chance for the c7 here. If I were looking for a newer vette I'd be in a grand sport. I gotta be in a car that can last 300000 hard driven miles, so the ls3 is more my style than the ls7, eliminating the c6z. I honestly don't even know what I would possibly be looking for if I was gonna spend 75g
