Sounds great. I just recently purchased an 03 EB Z06 with less and 7k on the clock. I couldn't sleep the night before waiting......then I laughed like a loon when I finally got to sit behind the wheel.

Happy for you

Paperwork signed, payment on it's way!!

Shipping out of FL on Saturday.

Still no pics yet, but it can be seen on cars.com selling from Mercedes Benz of Naples.

A shout out to them as they agreed to install a new battery and flush/change out all fluids.

Oil/filter, Rear diff., tranny, brakes, clutch, coolant. All fresh now.

I'll be putting both the wheels/tires and exhaust system up for sale here soon.

I really think the C5 Z is a special car, it is the last generation that you feel like you put it on and you feel connected to the road, the C5 Z is very raw and race car like.
Totally agreed. When I was looking at Corvettes I drove several back to back: C5Z, C6 LS3, C6Z. The C6's rode rough, spun the tires whenever I hit the gas, and didn't sound that great - just loud. The C5Z rode great, loved to turn, gripped forever, and just drove like a fantastic sports car. The light weight and gearing felt wonderful. Plus I love how the LS6 builds power as it revs instead of just riding the torque wave like the LS7.

I never saw that coming; thought for sure I'd wind up with a C6. I wanted a black car but saw an Electron Blue '02 that same night and bought it immediately. Never knew that color existed. It took me an entire year after buying mine to get used to the fact that it's my favorite Vette of all because it's older than the car it replaced. I never liked C5's much before, and now I love them the most.

Enjoy yours! I think you've literally found the perfect Corvette.

Thanks man.

I was always a Torch Red guy, but I have to say that Electron Blue is a stunning color with lots of depth. So happy it doesn't have the purple grape look to it like the Lemans Blue does in certain angles.

Trucking company says it will be here on Saturday!!!

Then the mods start

I'm hoping they are all ok.

I had it inspected before I bought it and all looked good.

I wonder how much it costs to replace all belts and hoses.

Should be fine. I bought a low mileage 03 (12,900) in January of this year and although it had low miles it was stored much of its life in a wood barn near the ocean, so it had ALOT of oxidation on the suspension parts, alternator, throttle body, etc - nothing that effected the function, but it was noticeable. Shaved $500 off the price as a result - my point is though, if an older barely-used car was going to have issues w/ belts & hoses it'd be mine, but I've put 5,300 miles on it thus far and not one issue on that front.

It did need the passenger headlight motor replaced and the whole AC system though....AC due to non-use, oxidation, and just rotting from inside out just sitting. Warranty is a good thing

I am on my second c5 z06 I've always wanted a yellow one and I found the perfect 50th anniversary recently local to me in California. my first one was a red C5Z that I got rid of in 2007-2008 cause I needed to get my priorities straight and buy my first home. I feel that hands down c5z is the best bang for your buck over a c6z or any car out there for that matter. Here she is after a wash then tint same day. now she sits in the garage awaiting many more mods I have lined up for her.

What part of cali are you?

Nice color. Those wheels look good against it.

I'm in the Bay Area.

There was a slight delay with the transport CO. Car is due here tomorrow evening.

I already have stocked up on Zaino products for its detail.

Next week the CCW wheels and tires will be ordered, as well as the Radio Flyer HID conversion kit, Corsa exhaust, front brake rotors, and 04' shocks, ending with a street performance alignment.

Its going to be a fun next month of spending

I'm working on it. It was dark by the time the driver got here.

This weekend I'll get a chance to spend some time.
