Looking at a ProCharged c5 Z06. Need input!
Looked at a ProCharged 02 c5 z06 today. These were the codes it had. Well, all of them had an "H" next to them. Meaning History and not Current. Just resetting them will get rid of them? NO CEL was on when driving. Car had the TCS module thing and both door modules replaced at a dealership within the past year. Car ran great with no issues or leaks anywhere. I am highly interested in it. CarFax was clean. Car did not have a wideband, so that worried me a bit being ProCharged and all. 55k miles on it. MagnaFlow catback. Owner is in his mid 60's and bought it like this 2 years ago and has replaced some things as mentioned prior. Has new tires on it and 2 new factory 18'' wheels for the front. Thanks for any help or advice.
28-TCS U1301 H: High voltage on the class 2 serial data circuit.
40-BCM NO CODES
58-SDM U1301 H = High voltage on the class 2 serial data circuit.
60-IPC NO CODES
80- RADIO NO COMM.
99-HVAC NO CODES

A1-RDCM B2283 H B2285 H U1255= Communication with XXX Lost Communication with XXX IPC . U1064=Normal software function, history status upon ignition cycling. U1016= Pretty much same as U1064. U1096=Normal cycling
A6-SCM B0851=Battery 1 Out of Range. B1656=GM EEPROM Write Error U1300=Low voltage on the class 2 serial data circuit. U1160=Lost Communication with XXX IPCLoss of Communications with LDCM. Refer to DTC U1001‐U1254.
Nothing really crazy with the codes it looks like...

Maybe that code has to do with the tune that is on it because of the ProCharger? And all these codes had an "H" next to them. No current codes or CEL.

I wouldn't worry about H codes. These cars are ultra sensitive and occasionally throw a code if you just look at it wrong.

Sounds like you are buying someone else's problems. I would only consider it if you have the extra cash to put it back stock. My advice is to stay away from modded cars unless you can buy them cheap. Chances are expensive repairs are in the future.

How is that buying someone else's problem? Car ran great. No current codes or CEL. Just had all those history codes. But I hear yah on buying modded cars...luckily I am mechanically inclined on doing most work on my vehicles. Why would I need extra cash to return it to stock? ProCharger kit is worth something. What would you guys offer for it based on what I have said about it? Has 55k on it mileage wise.

Right on.
Edmunds is super low. They have it at $15,400 in GREAT condition. KBB had it at $18,700. I threw him an offer. We will see. He has it listed at $21,900.

There's a lot of highly modded cars out there that are awesome if that's what your looking for, I bought my car completely stock but could have saved a small fortune if I would have found one modded to my liking, if it's done right there's not a lot to worry about, just cause it's been modified does not necessarily mean it's been dogged, it's not hard to tell if you know what your looking for.
Good luck in your search

He has had it for 3 years and pretty much got all the gremlins from getting it at a car lot. TCS module replaced, and the door module thingies replaced. Recently had the tires replaced, belt changed on procharger along with the fluid on the pro charger. I would want to get the valve springs replaced because it is an 02 and I am not sure if they were replaced or not. I think $19,900 is fair for the great condition it is in. Going to have it looked at on a rack before purchase. But looking at the rear end, everything looked super clean. The rear diff was bone dry around it.

Why did he have the belt replaced?
I've seen a few superchargers that weren't installed properly and were constantly chewing up belts.

Its an old kit. Guessing due to age? I will double check everything once I get it. Going to personally check everything out on a lift. I did find out the fluid in the procharger has been in there since MArch of 2011 and the car had 47k when it was replaced. 54k on car actually. So I am going to do that myself via turkey baster method I read about. Excited but kind of worried. We shall see. Going to bite the bullet on this car. This will be my first GM car.
