Realistic HP Expections after Heads/Cam
So Im doing a head/cam swap on my z06. I got some PRC 225CC as cast heads and a Magic Stick v.3 (ms3) cam from Texas Speed. Supporting mods are TP Long Tubes w/ OR-X. Texas Speed Tune. What are realistic HP #'s? and expected 1/4 mile times. Thanks for the input!

My guess would be 450-470 rwhp and 420-430 rwtq. You have better heads than I and I put down those numbers with a 231/236 cam + AI 226 (243) heads.
Trapping ~125mph depending on DA

Yeah the DA in El Paso, tx is horrible, before this the car went 12.0 @ 112 consistently.

A solid heads cam setup should be in the 10's in decent air.
You need all the right parts working together and that should put you around 470 rwhp without much effort.
But if you skimp out on a few parts it can take away alot.
I'd go with 1 7/8 American Racing Headers. I've seen cars with the wrong headers not make the power.

Well I definitely learned my lesson with that tonight at the track. Im definitely getting that FAST 102MM with that Nick williams 102mm TB....or maybe the LS2 TB sooner than later. I was hoping Id be able to get away with the stock LS6 intake but definitely not. The car feels super light and responsive however, the MS3 cam wasn't loud despite the 112 LSA. Its actually alot quieter than before with the 228R cam. Could it be because theres alot more airflow? I was expecting the car to be shaking and rattling. Anyway, I went 12.0 at 115 this time, so I picked up 2-3 mphs but the stock intake is ultimately limiting power.

We have seen gains with 1 7/8 over 1 3/4 but more importantly is the brand of header.
I have a max effort c5z making well over 500 whp with a 92fast and ls2 tb and 2" headers.
And most importantly you will need seat time.

Well, Ive been a long time customer of Texas Speed so thats why i went with their Long tubes & o/R X. I was looking at those LG 1 7/8 headers but they're a wayyyyy expensive. BTW you think that FAST 102 is over kill?

I got ya. Then I'd run what you have and get better and close to the bottom of its potential et before buying anything else.
You will not notice much from a 102 if you aren't maxing out the potential of the setup. I've been 9.7x and am still not sure it's worth swapping one in over the fast 92.
