If you could change ONE thing on your C5Z???
What would it be?
More power?
Better brakes?
More tire?
Magnetic shocks?
??????
Just curious of those thinking this is the best looking Z, but...if I could change 1 thing...

I've already taken care of modding all the items you listed and I'm currently upgrading to a modern touch screen nav, dvd, rev. cam radio. My only two things I'd really want to change are a set of seats and HID headlights. If it were ever in my budget, a blower. Appearance wise, 11 years with my car and I still never get tired of looking at it. GM really nailed it when they designed the C5 Z06, it's perfect. C6 never liked it. C7 is okay but I still like mine better. Everyone I know keeps asking me when I'm getting a new Vette. They give me strange looks when I tell them I like mine better.

Grippy clutch and brake petal. With wet shoes they are a nightmare to heel-toe with. BUT I have racing petals on the way now. Next thing I dont like are the seats. Soon to be replaced with leather shaved Corbeau A4's. Overall though, that's just being picky. Car is amazing

from the factory or as a mod? From the factory a nicer steering wheel/shifter/SEATS would be nice.
As far as mods go, I can't say ONE thing because I want to do LOTS lol!!
Right now the ONE thing I need to change is all 4 tires, then headers, then cam, then suspension, then brakes, then...well you ge the idea

I have Stoptech BBk, so the only things lacking on my car are for track usage. I could use more cooling, but the single thing I would change is to a clutch release mechanism that does not heat soak on track.

it is a lot to dish out at one time but you will quickly forget about it... I just hate it when people ask me how much something costs and it reminds me lol... it's only money though, as long as you take care of necessities I say spend it and have fun because no matter how much you have in the bank it doesn't go with you... I would like to do wide fenders and maybe a few appearance mods to make it more aggressive looking going down the road since I feel like I can back it up now... maybe next tax season if I actually get anything back from the greedy govt

The semi truck driver influenced steering wheel...
The rest I can/have/in progress of changing but messing with removing the airbag is something I can't bring myself to do. I would LOVE a smaller steering wheel but that airbag, I feel like I would rather have it if I need it.

i'm split between 3 things
better top end. from 4000-6500 could use another 30 ish hp to match the low end
seats...seriously, GM should have just paid recaro and let them do the design
clutch system. while i understand they needed to minimize driveline shock, the ls6 clutch wasn't really overbuilt enough. the ls7 clutch should have been the ls6 clutch
of those 3
i'm really split between seats and clutch, both were design flaws

More power?........ Got a LS7 swap "But can always use more power"
Better brakes?....... Got front calipers/rotors on the rear drilled and slotted. "4way front brakes"
More tire?........ YES! With wider rear QP's
Magnetic shocks?...... Got Coilovers

Good luck with the valve guides and exhaust valve with that LS7. Mine took a dump after about 10K miles.

I would like it to be New again...
But a nicer steering wheel, and better anti glare covering on the dash.
Mark.

I already upgraded the seats and shifter, shocks are coming, better tires, newer valve springs, HID's, etc.
But the one thing I would change that I can't is a smaller, sportier steering wheel with an airbag.
