Personally it baffles me how those times are legit. I am not saying that those time are not achievable because I have seen some great ET's with just a cam and a monster stall with gears. BUT, the mph is usually a great indication of the power of the vehicle. 140mph in my eyes is a good FI setup mph. If he was doing a 9.8 @ 129 with like a 1.3 60' that would make more sense to me. I run 10.00 @ 135 mph with my Z06 with a H/C 427 and a RPM Auto swap, With a 3200 stall and trans brake leaving lightly I can post up a 1.50 60's and get those times. My MPH is maxed out at my power level so It makes me scratch my head looking at his setup. None the less great job and lets see some lower times

That is FLAT gettin' it! My stroker only runs in the 11's.... But mine is driver error... I'm not much of a Drag racer... I prefer the 1/2 mi events... yours is a beast!

My car is stock appearing inside and out but I removed everything out I don't need.
So first off it's light.
I drag race a bit so I set it up for the drag strip and therefore its especially efficient in the 1/4 mile.
That stuff accounts for a lot and most people know that about my car already.
I've been around a while and I'm aware of the fast lists and use them as goals to try and achieve with my car.
I don't make the lists, except for one which basically has no restrictions, and abide by the rules that was set forth. You are always going to have someone complain and interpret rules differently then others. That I can accept. I didn't build this setup to take the top spot on the list. I was running a bolt on only SBE setup and having fun and have the opportunity to compete in a drag racing event that allows a cam and is considered a cam-only class for corvettes. So we decided to throw in a cam and we fit the rules nicely so I can compete in a heads up all motor class which I've always want to try.
I'm allowed stock 243 heads with an aftermarket valve train so that's what we did.
I don't have a lot of experience racing but I do it for fun.
I know that my car also fits into the cam-only fast list rules on LS1 tech [which states you only need to have stock heads/rods/pistons] which has always been the accepted list since I started racing for fun about 10 years ago. Back then I couldn't understand how those guys on top ran so fast, now I do.
So these are just silly list but they give some of us incentive to go out there and race when we can't run heads up against similarly modified cars which is by far the most fun for me. I'll line up with anyone for fun.
I was running a 26x10x15 Hoosier slick. My favorite tire is the 275 50 15 which will et and seems to 60' the best but I can't use it because I will go thru the traps close to 8000 rpm and the SBE will not be happy.
Mt best 60' so far is 1.37 on the small radial.
Best 60 on the slick is 1.39.
I've only run out a few passes due to many different circumstances but I'm confident the car will go quicker.
I went 1.464 on the 9.80 @ 140+ pass. Not sure of 1/8 mile, Gary has the time slip. Trap speed was around 111.8mph?
Enjoy what you have and call it what you like. I'm always willing to help out people with their setups but keep in mind giving my cam specs out most likely isn't going to help much.
