Default flames out the exhaust.......

My son and I was picking up his car from being detailed and told me my c5z was shooting flames out the exhaust

it happens when I ride the gears then shift or when I down shift coming to a red light the car has LG headers and cats but thinking there hollowed out now but any way is this normal or something wrong?

Picture Update:

Likely just running rich and the flames are caused from unburned fuel getting into the exhaust.

It would be a good idea to have the tune checked. Get a video of it and post it here because I bet it looks pretty cool.

What would be a better idea is to provide us with pictures. Flames cool.

I think mine does it as well on downshifts, it pops and bangs out the exhaust and I suspect it flames out on occasion as well.

I'm with brplatz! I would LOVE to have flames out the back. My Cobalt SS/TC does it occasionally when I use the No Lift Shift feature haha.

It is unburnt fuel, shouldn't happen that much, I would get it checked. How is the MPG?
I have seen it before, but in highly modded cars.

Looks badass but get your tune checked. Too rich of a tune will wear piston rings prematurely.
