I need help finding out what is wrong with my vette .. It just happen this sunday .. My Z out the nowhere got stock in 5th and it wont go nowhere else?? Plz help!

Could be damages shift forks or maybe your clutch went out?

If the clutch is still operable see if you can move the car, get it to roll a bit, then try to pull it out of 5th.

Then to be safe avoid 5th, if you can still drive the car, you may have syncro problems, search for it here see if your car matches the description.

I think is 2001 they were still using the alum. shift forks which had issue's ..how many miles are on the car?

The shifter getting stuck in gear is a indication od broken synchronizer keys the the 5/6 assembly, The keys are a stamped steel that is pretty thin from the factory and they eventually break causing the shifter to get stuck and bind. We have a set of upgraded billet steel keys that we use in our transmissions
