Got a speeding ticket my first month... for 7mph over
It has not even been a month yet. I have 1 previous ticket in the last 10 years of driving. I was cruising down a straight flat road with no traffic. Got popped by a motorcycle cop. I was yes sir, no sir the entire time.
42 in a 35...
It's times like that when I wish I was driving a beige honda
NOPE, worth it

If it was clocked by radar, you can easily beat it.
You are supposed to be given a 10 MPH leaway when law enforcement is using radar to track speed. It is discretionary if you are in a hazardous traffic or hazardous condtions situation.

Either way, sucks to hear man. I passed a state trooper going 87 in a 70 (I was running late) a couple weeks ago in my truck and he stayed put. God Bless Texas!

Rumor has it that a line of 10 identical Z06/Z16 CEs were traveling north on I65 from Bowling Green back in September when the lead car was clocked at 85 mph...the KY trooper just shook his head as he watched all 10 cars roll by...must have been an awesome sight...but probably just a rumor😏

My mother got a speeding ticket in her new 2014 Jeep Cherokee for 28 in a 25, took it to court and the judge said it was still considered speeding and would not drop the ticket...

When states want or need revenue, this is an easy way to get it. I have also heard of cops targeting out of town residence as they are less likely to show up in court.
Yes it is wrong, yes it sucks. Some cops are a$$es on a power trip.

I like to consider %ages when it comes to speeding. I have never even once gotten pulled over with a rule of "no more than 10% over the speed limit." That means I'd max out at 38 in a 35.

Just curious, how much did that +7 cost you?
A +5 in kali will run you just shy of 400 bucks. Traffic school and all.

Here is a site stating the different types of speed detection and how to fight it.

Where did you get your info on, you are supposed to get 10mph leeway? Also, a large amount of law enforcement uses LIDAR now because it is 99% accurate. LIDAR holds up in court. And it is totally incorrect about discretionary about hazardous situations. I have law enforcement in the family.

I received a ticket from Chelan County for speeding (73 mph in a 60) then saw this on the news...

Do you guys understand that police officers extend professional courtesy?
Does anyone think an officer or a trooper is going to write another officer a ticket?
Is it wrong, yes, should they get a ticket, yes. Will they? 90 percent of the time they won't get a ticket. If anyone thinks this is out of line then I guess nepotism and favoritism does not exist.
