Any stories of 2+ passengers in a Z?
I drive the car to school maybe once or twice a week, usually on Fridays, since I still can here in SoCal. I don't mind giving rides to friends and it's usually fine and no one touches it, but some of my less intelligent acquaintances won't stop bothering me about letting more of them in the car. They think they can distribute 4 or 5 kids throughout the passenger seat and trunk since I don't have a partition Cannot believe the stupidity of some of these kids and makes me wish even more that high school could be over. No matter how many times I tell them that it's not safe, they won't stop pestering. I showed some of them the following image and it shut them up:

Got me wondering if any of you have any stories/incidents about having more than 2 people in the car.

For anyone who thinks I'm a troll, I'm not asserting that it's my car. Yes it's dad's and yes I am in my senior year of high school. I get driving privileges by fully maintaining and repairing the car as needed, as well as keeping it clean at all times.
I'm actually curious as to whether any of you have stories about having more than 2 people in a Corvette.

I've been in a C6 convertible with 3 people before. Third person sitting in the trunk with the trunk lid up works pretty well, C5Z should be able to do the same thing.
That being said, I doubt I'd get in the back with a high school kid in the driver's seat...

I have had 3 total people in the car before. A friend of mine and her friend visiting from out of town were stranded on the road. I was the only one available at the time and they weren't too far from the hotel where her friend was staying. I had one of them lay down on the flat partition part for the short 5 minute ride. She said it actually was comfortable.
I wouldn't recommend it AT ALL. If there was anyone else around to help them I would have said no, but didn't want to leave them stranded at night. Definitely not the safest thing in the world to do. That was the one and only time I did that

Im releived to here your parents didnt give you a c5z as a first car at age 16/17, that would be a scary thought. You sound pretty responsible. No, never had more than one passenger at a time. Im sure its been done, not a good idea though. Pretty sure if your dad heard you had more than one other person in his car at a time it would be the last time you drove it. I know it would be if my son ever tried that.

I had my wife and daughter in the car for a few miles.
We were in the vette and 10 year old daughter called and wanted a ride home from a friends.
She was supposed to stay the night.
It is not a good idea, never went over 30 mph and it was like 2 miles.

Hi; The answer is there are two seats in the vette for a reason.....That being said the car is only capable of holding two people....If they wanted to seat more than two, they would have put more seats in a vette.. ITS A SPORTS CAR NOT A FAMILY SEDAN OR A MINI VAN...GLAD YOU DO NOT TAKE ANY MORE THAN ONE OTHER PERSON , YOUR DAD WOULD BE PROUD OF YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE..DRIVE SAFELY

Nope never. I like my interior clean. But in you're situation, I would tell your buddies hell no. But squeeze as many young hoes as you can in it and drive on past your buddies. Remember!!!! 1 male buddy in passenger seat. Multiple female hoes and as many as you can fit...

FWIW... true story from my HS days. 1982, one week prior to graduation, two girls one guy in his brand new 82 Vette, a graduation present. They were all great friends...he let one of the girls drive, country road, t-tops out, she drifted and overcorrected, lost control and car rolled...two ejected, one died... our annual is dedicated to the girl that died. Sad but true story that's stuck with me for obvious reasons.

I'm sure you "could" carry more than one passenger, but technically you cant and I don't just mean in the eyes of the law- check the gvwr on the inside or the driver door.
Not only can you not have a 3rd passenger you better watch you own weight, date skinny girls, & go light on the luggage- again, seriously check the gvwr- extremely low, lower than you may think, and I am not joking about fatties basically not being qualified to own one

I've slept in the back on a long road trip once, so sure, you COULD fit somebody back there, but it's clearly unsafe.
I remember cramming four people in the back of my buddy's Neon in high school... one of the girls was in my lap and that worked out ok, but again, that's not technically safe either
