Default Newbie help?

Recently Purchased an 04 Z06 that looks like the previous owner had a pet that chewed on the E brake handle and button. I have sourced a new cover. However I have been unable to locate a source for the button. Does anybody have a clue as to where I could locate one? Also, I know how to get the handle off....but how does the button come off and get reinstalled?

Your best bet might be a used assembly from the parts forum or the auction site. There are a couple z06's being parted out right now.

I have thought about that but I was hoping to find just the push button portion.....seems like a waste to buy a complete assembly for just that part. I may see if the part is available at the dealer.

I'm not sure if they will just sell the button but you can ask.

Try Contemporary Corvette in Bristol Pa, they are a corvette salvage yard, they may or may not sell it but it's worth a try to give them a call.

You'll want to find a used one for sure. The entire lever assembly is 250.00 new.
