Does anyone know of a shop around NJ that can repair damage to the aluminum frame? I am looking at a 2003 z that was in an accident. The right front frame is pushed up a little and it needs the front bar replaced. I may be able to install a new front section, but also want to explore just trying to straighten it as if I do get it for the right price, it will be a track car.

my advice is run forest, run....frame damage is problem waiting to bite you.

Only the c6 z06 and c7 have aluminum frames

All C1-C5 cars came with a steel frame; aluminum was exclusively used on the Z06/ZR1 for C6 and migrated to the rest of the lineup for C7.

I thought the c5 z had aluminum, but was wrong. Regardless, I am walking away. We put on the lift at the frame shop and the entire thing is torqued on both sides. Too much of a project now and too expensive, even for a track car. Breaks my heart to see a z go to the scrapper.
