Calling all guys running at least 10.5" wide in the front!!
Looking to have a set of wheels made 18x10.5 in the front.
If you have experience running this setup please tell me what wheel you had on your C5Z as well as your tire size, offset, and backspacing.
Did you have ANY clearance issues and did they rub at full lock?
I'd like to run a 275-295 tire daily and determine if running a 305 would be possible for track days as well.
I have done extensive research on this and have found plenty running the stock rears in the front. Some claim to have ZERO issues and some claim to rub at full lock. Looking to get some recent consolidated facts here. Also trying to find out if 58mm is the best offset to stick with or not.
Thanks for any input!

Too many have done it successfully to be a fluke. I would recommend that you simply buy a set of stock rear (18") wheels and you're good to go. If you don't like them, they are easy to sell and dirt cheap.

Melting Slicks
I'm running 285/30/18 on 9.5 fronts. When I ran 10.5 wheels the inside of the wheel lightly rubbed the rear arm of the lower control arm at full lock. A 5mm spacer fixed that but I didn't want to run a spacer so I stepped down to a 9.5 wheel.
I know guys run 305 Hoosiers on the stock rears for racing. I'd imagine they have the same issue. It's wasn't the tire that rubbed, it was the inside shoulder of the wheel.

I run two sets of 10.5 X 18 TSWs. I've run 295/35s, 305/30s, and 315/30s and the only rubbing I've seen is a slight mark on my aftermarket brake cooling ducts at full lock. This is a track car running 2.5 deg negative camber in front.

I've got 10"s in the front with no issues, I can't say how another 1/2" would change anything. Nothing ever rubs on mine, even at full lock.

Drifting
I run 285/305 on the 10.5" wheels at the track and it rubs the ducting and plastic extensions on the aftermarket brake kit if I turn it too much.
If I run the 17" wheels going home and don't remove the ducting then it rubs that too but does not rub the plastic extension like it does with the 18's.
I would imagine without the brake duct kit then it would not rub for everyday street use.

I run the C5Z rear wheels 18 x 10.5 on the front with 315 r6,s and the only issue is after 2 full seasons the inner fender wells under the coolant tank and the windshield washer tank have worn thru form the tire rub on hard transitions, I also get the rub mark on the DRM brake cooling ducts. the car is slightly lowered on stock bolts.
