This is the C6 manual shifter kit including, complete shifter, **** and attaching **** screw, from the 2013 C6 Corvette. This is a popular upgrade and modification for any 1997-2004 C5 Corvette. For the C5 Corvette you'll either need to modify the shifter boot or you'll need to purchase an aftermarket shift boot that is specifically made for a C5 Corvette installing a C6 shifter kit.

What modification needs to be made to the shifter boot?....Any idea of a vender that makes the aftermarket boot mentioned?

Many vendors sell shifter boots. Redline and Vette Essentials are two of the most popular. It's very easy to modify your stock boot; you cut the threads and open up the top wide enough to fit the new shifter, then zip tie the top in place on the inside of the of the boot.

Anyone who is on the fence about doing this mod, hesitate no further. I effing LOVE this shifter. Improves upon the stocker in every aspect, easy install, and looks great. Very happy I did this mod.
