I make right below 600 at the wheels...it's still very manageable, it's all in how you "jump on it". If I roll into the throttle it'll hold it fine, just gotta be controlled about it, but if I jump on it it'll blow them off. Most guys lack throttle control. I find my power level extremely usable.
This is a little through the city I did one early spring morning. Car had been sitting a while, so my tranny was shifting a little stiff, giving me some notchiness but...I roll on it, then at the end I jump on it...the difference is obvious...throughout most of the video it's throttle management, but I get into it at the end pretty hard.

Thanks man...didn't turn out the way I wanted though. There is a great loop possible in Pittsburgh...I just wish I could've executed it. I'm not the bold street racer I was 10 years prior...I'm a bit court weary over traffic bs...lol. There was way more traffic that morning than anticipated also. Video really slows it down a lot...if the HUD were visible throughout the entire thing you'd see the speeds were up there a number of times. In Pittsburgh, between the rough road, my car being lowered, plus the temps that morning...just a bit of balance to do it. What you're seeing is way too many times of me watching "Getaway in Stockholm 2" for my own good...lol. If you haven't seen it...google. That video cost me a lot of money and made me fight city hall...lol.
I have footage for a lot more...in time.

I know I'm inexperienced, but when I launch running the 1/4, I feel like my face is gonna melt off into my helmet. And I only have IHE and a good tune. 385whp/376wtq. I can only imagine what 600+ feels like!

I too, am impressed with 3rd gear in these C5 ZO6's!! Last weekend, I visited my son in Kansas City, and Friday and Saturday were 2 days of brilliant sunshine, 50 degrees and immaculate roads-- IN JANUARY!! I'm from northeast Ohio and we rarely have nice sunny January days. I "borrowed" his '03 red/red ZO6, and as I was pulling on to I-29 from I-435 just north of KC, I really "got on it" and ran it almost out to its 6500 rpm redline in third gear. I hadn't driven the car in at least two years, and I enjoyed the reminder of just how much snap the car has in third gear. My son ordered it new, and took delivery in March of 2003. AT 33500 miles, it remains pure stock, and for the life of me, I can't understand why anyone would change the exhaust from factory. The titanium exhaust is exhilarating. Its best at the strip has been 12.34 @113.85 on its stock Goodyears. I enjoy driving the car every bit as much as my '13 427 convertible!

not bad, better heads and a fast 92mm and you're easily in the 460-470 range, OR you could slap a blower on it

I had the stock Ti with the AR longtube and xpipe/eliminated cats and it just wasn't enough for me either...too subtle. Granted the BB bullets are just a little beyond at certain driving modes, but overall I enjoy the BB bullets FAR more than the Ti's. I didn't buy this car as a daily, I bought/built to be an aggressive, brutal murderer of anything but other serial killers that roam the streets randomly.

Yea I cant decide on new heads or if its worth to port and polish the stock heads. And yea the fast intake and probably a UD pulley. id like to be 475-500whp but we will see. Only time and money will tell lol. Id like to have a blower but that wont be for a long time.
